Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in La Grange

Fogo de Chao does not disappoint. We were a party of 8 and were seated relatively quickly. The food was great and the visits to our table by the gauchos was relatively frequent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We celebrated 3 birthdays and were pleasantly pleased to see that those desserts were complimentary as well as the meal of our 6 year old.

Davanti was fantastic. We enjoyed the delicious meatball appetizer and Polenta & Ragu. Fantastic.

First bite was a showstopper. We ordered the spicy pepperoni pizze. It wasn’t spicy, if you’re concerned about spice level. It was delicious. The pizze dough was perfectly done. Just doughy to crispy ratio. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan which was a generous portion and also cooked perfectly. And the side of pasta was even thoughtfully prepared. Service was excellent. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great.

Ate at Lucca’s on a very busy Valentine’s Day evening. Although the entire restaurant was bustling we still thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We started with a manhattan cocktail and a pomegranate margarita which were fine. After drinks we ordered the bruschetta appetizer and found it to be delicious. The finely chopped tomatoes made it light and tasty. For entrees we ordered the chicken calabrese which was surprisingly spicy but anticipated a spicier entree as it does have calabrese peppers. We also ordered a pizza that was 1/2 gringo loco and calabrese. A combination of two of their specialty pizzas. I enjoyed the calabrese pizza more. Overall our waitress was great, and even though it was busy, we were happy with our service. Definitely would patronize again in the future.
