Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Lakeshore East

Mark was our server and he was great. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and made great suggestions based on our preferences. We were there to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and several staff members acknowledged the occasion. I’ve been to STK once before and it’s still by far the best steak I’ve ever had.

My favorite seafood spot in Chicago. Love the vibe and energy of the dining room. Huge selection of seafood dishes. Flounder stuffed with blue crab was outstanding, companions loved their grouper. Started with an excellent bowl of old fashioned clam chowder. Service was attentive without being over bearing.

I had the grilled chicken salad and it was delicious. The black bean drizzle was to die for. My husband had the Backyard Burger and subbed out the Canadian bacon for candied bacon. Although delicious, her was disappointed in the shredded cheddar cheese. It was a very large mound of shredded cheese making the burger very tall and difficult to eat along with the fact that the cheese doesn't melt at all. He would order the burger again, but ask for either sliced cheese or having the cheese melted.

The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. We had a reservation, we arrived a little early and yet, they seated us immediately with no waiting time. The waitress Cecilia gave us excellent service, she explained things in detail and gave us her best recommendations. I usually eat chicken, but this time I decided to take her suggestions and honestly, I don't regret it, the food was exquisite. The areas, attention and presentation in general were excellent and more. Totally recommended.

Just had drinks. They were good. Nice rooftop spot.
