Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Midtown

I recently visited STK for the first time and, while the ambiance was upscale, the overall experience didn’t justify the high price point. The steak, while decent, didn’t stand out compared to steaks I’ve had at other restaurants—especially considering the premium cost. The sides we ordered, hash browns and fries, were enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. The bread, however, was a pleasant surprise and probably the highlight of the meal. We also tried the Caesar salad, which was fine but certainly not worth the inflated price. In summary, STK delivers a chic atmosphere, but the food quality doesn’t match the hefty price tag. There are other restaurants offering comparable or better dishes at a more reasonable cost. It’s worth trying once for the experience, but I’m not sure I’d return.

Autumn was absolutely amazing. She was busy and it was New Years Day, but that didn't stop her. She was kind, patient and extremely pleasant.

Just another Saturday night during Christmas. It was empty, well it had a hand full of people in the dining area. But the bar was packed. The food was delicious a few things were different; I have a Caribbean pallet. The drinks were delicious and on point. They had James Hennessy along with a full course of Hennessy. The atmosphere was metropolitan sexy in a classy vibe way. We had a great time. It’s near the Fox theater so you can stop in before or after a show. The server was very attentive. I would like to qualify the wait staff when it was a little more customers. But it was a delightful experience.

My wife and I have been going to Lire for years. It has always been our go to for seafood. With the rebrand and relaunch we are even more impressed. The menu is fantastic with options that allows you to create your own experience or enjoy a family style exploration of a myriad of tastes. The service has been and continues to be top notch. On our latest visit Haspil was our server. He was very attentive and delivered excellent recommendations that we may not have selected on our own (the whipped feta was one of his recommendations and it was probably the best plate of the night). I highly recommend Lure Saltwater Kitchen for anything from everyday dining to special occasions or events.

All of the tapas we ordered was excellent!!! The chef’s charcuterie board- phenomenal. We had both cold octopus salad & grilled octopus over corn puree!!!! Both were outstanding! The steak with mushroom foam!!! I will dream about this dish. Tuna tartare & squash soup are so so yummy! Our server, Christina, so sweet & fantastic! Drinks were great. I gave a lower score on ambience due to the fact their HVAC as malfunctioning & it was cold in the restaurant. Definitely returning for more!!!
