It all started in 1992, when Annette and Gerner Andresen opened the Lighthouse Café in Sausalito in its present form. The Andresens, both born in Denmark, had recently immigrated to the U.S., and along with them they brought the Scandinavian flair for simplicity, good quality and tasty food. The café has over the years become famous for its breakfast and lunch, with American classics like good old-fashioned burgers and a great selection of omelets, along with Scandinavian classics like Danish Meatballs or Norwegian Salmon. Exceptional service, we adored our waitors! Food is divine - started with the zucchini fries and olive appetizer, shared the Prosciutto Parm and Rigatoni. Accompanied by their seasonal martini, I couldn’t have been more content.

Very french. Feel like you’re in Paris. Limited menu but we both enjoyed what we had. Helpful wait staff. When we first arrived the music made it hard to hear each other and we are both slightly hard of hearing. We asked them if they could lower the music and they turned it off. So appreciated!
