I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. Their food is excellent. A good wine selection. We were seated promptly, and our server was very good. He was pleasant and handled our order well. I did find that the restaurant got very noisy. FYI. We dined at their NY restaurant where they offer pizza. This location in Tuckahoe, NY, did not have pizza. We were going to have something else anyway, but if you want pizza, you will have to go to another location.
