Best Lunch Restaurants in Kerrisdale

Top-notch French-inspired cuisine. On par with what I would find at a good Montreal restaurant. I had heard ups and downs since Chef Feenie took over but the meal we had was better than Lumiere. We shared a burrata salad with local beets -- nothing otherworldly but fresh ingredients and tasty. Also shared the hamachi crudo which is apparently award-winning, and I can see why. I had one of the best duck breasts I have had in my life, with seared foie gras accompaniment to boot. My friend had the veal with morel sauce. Both were really top-notch. We sat at the bar and had very friendly and attentive service. Wine list is relatively small for this type of restaurant, and the bottom end of the price range is missing. We had the sommelier suggest a bottle of low-intervention burgundy which suited our food well. Atmosphere is very classic and not too loud. Overall a classy restaurant perfect for a business meeting, tete-a-tete, or a special occasion when you want to hear each other talk!

We sat at one of Chef's tables in the kitchen area and really enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent with good recommendations, and the food was fantastic. Great experience all around.

Wonderful service and exceptional food. We are celiac and they were very accommodating with lots of gluten free options.

Great lunch. Felt rushed - the tone was set upon checking in (with reservations) that our table had a reservation and hour later. I looked on line and there were still availability for reservations every hour after ours. When you are having several courses, the timeline is set by the server who takes our order and the kitchen. Our order was not taken promptly so that at up into one hour lunch. At the the one hour mark, we were not yet finished but there were other table empty and no one waiting at the door. 😡 food was good and have been wanting to eat here for quite sometime. Would I eat here again -yes. Would I make a reservation for lunch - yes but at 2 pm when you know there is no reservations coming in for your table after because I want to enjoy the food and not chow down like I was at a fast food joint.

Bufala is a great spot! Casual, fun , friendly service & great food is comfortable surroundings. A great choice for a fun evening out with family & friends. You can't go wrong at Bufala!
