Best Lunch Restaurants in Finchley

Food was delicious. Environment was even louder than expected on a Friday night. Any way you could set the music a 9/10 instead of 10/10? It’s a fun vibe, but the three of us could barely hear each other even with leaning in.

The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish crafted to perfection and bursting with flavour. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, offering a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall exceptional experience. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special evening out, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for both the cuisine and the ambiance!

As always at L'Escargot this was a fabulous occasion in every respect and on every level. Full of warmth, laughter, friendship and great conversation. The evening flowed by magnificently. So sorry to hear of L'Escargot's loss of Dorris the bulldog (apologies if incorrect breed). Dorris was the perfect ice breaker and added so much value to the restaurant and every occasion. We'll miss her! Gloriosa!

A wonderful dining experience. Food was outstanding. Whilst in my opinion there was a lot of truffle, which is not to my taste, the restaurant offered to serve the sauce on the side and had made mash without truffle, so for those that don’t like this you are able to enjoy the whole menu. Perfect for couples as very romantic setting but happily go with a larger group as they can accommodate. Service was divine. A real treat as not cheap but ultimately value for money as every detail was looked at and perfected.

I have been here over 10/15 times in the last 10 years, one of the best Asian restaurants in London. However this time there were some negative notes. First of all, the A/C in the dining room downstairs, it was quite cold (most people were covering up during dinner). Second, I would always order the fried chili squid, however this time we found them a bit chewy as they were cut larger than usual. All other dishes and service was excellent. Overall, a bit disappointed but still had nice evening
