The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. This was our second time eating at MV. The service is truly outstanding. The wait staff was never far from our table and accessible if needed. They don't rush you to order or eat. All the food was tasty and presented well in the plates and in generous portions. I had hoped for a scingili dish that I'd had before, but it was not on the menu that night. The shrimp dish I chose was great. Yes, we will go again.

the valentines price fixe dinner was very good. crab cake appetizer delicious. husband had lamb carpacio and then venison which he said were both reallly good. i had the halibut and it was delicious. parking is easy and restaurant is not too noisy.
