- BBrentSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 8, 2024I know that the CHAR focuses on steaks but the Walleye dinner was absolutely fabulous. We chose Blackened which had a little heat to it. We have had a lot of Walleye dinners but this took the cake, best Walleye diner ever. Not just the Walleye but the entire plate(Wild Rice and corn soufflé). You have never had a corn soufflé like this before, we were speechless. The waiter was fantastic and told us the recipe is from 1930’s.More infoCHAR Craft Steaks - Grand View LodgePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Nisswa•4.5

- SGSandraGMinneapolis - St. Paul •1 review4.0Dined on Jan 15, 2024Loved the igloo idea but after an hour I was freezing! It was super cold out but maybe turning the heater on earlier would have helped? Eric was awesome and very attentive. My only complaint is the ketchup bottle in my igloo was empty and eating a burger and fries without it was kind of a bummer. I was also hoping for a discount on the igloo since I only made it an hour in -25 degree temps, but alas, that didn’t happen. I do understand though that I was taking a chance sitting in there on a very frigid day. All in all it was a unique experienceMore infoOn The Rocks - Grand View LodgePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Nisswa•4.4
- NNovbabeMinneapolis - St. Paul •6 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 24, 2023We were at Grandview Lodge for the weekend and decided to book an Igloo. There were two options on how to book which was a bit confusing; "On the Rocks" and or "Freddys in the Igloo" which had we known more about the grounds it would've been an easy reservation to book. But, I excitedly booked the Igloo for sunset so we can be in the Igloo when the sun was setting on the lake. - upon arrival at On the Rocks we were not clear where to check in- finally made our way to the bar at which time the hostess told us "its not these Igloos" (which were by our cabin) "Its at Freddys across the road"- we made it over there 15 minutes late. We arrived it was very dark, really quiet and the Igloos were sitting there with no firepit or real ambience outside of the Igloo, as they had at On the Rocks. But upon entering it was very clear who to communicate with (unlike On the Rocks) - We had two people immediately greet us with a smile. They were so kind and happy- cheerfully brought us out to the Igloo where the heater inside didn't do much at all... (we were dressed for it tho and warm enough) We only ordered a small appetizer and drinks... Andrew was our waiter who was so amazing, checked on us often, keep our drinks coming! I would absolutely love to go here again, mostly because of the excellent service. Just make certain you are clear on which Igloos you are booking.More infoFreddy's - Igloos - Grand View LodgePrice: Moderate• Burgers• Nisswa•4.1
