Best Lunch Restaurants in San Juan Capistrano

Outstanding food and service! Ordered the miso cod, Chilean sea bass and Rendang short rib. Each dish was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. The cocktails and deserts were incredible as well, especially the croissant waffle.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant! Service by Michal was excellent! We had the special appetizer, crispy, spicy & sweet calamari. Generous portion and very tasty. My husband ordered the chicken piccata which is one of his favorites. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and came with farro and lots of yummy veggies! Great restaurant with the best service!

Our food was exceptional, as was our server, Emma. My filet was cooked to perfection and my husband’s pork chop was enormous. The charred Brussels sprouts are always a must, as is the garlic toast. So happy that Tavern opened in my neighborhood.

We were seated in the “music room” which was decorated with some Baroque music instruments, quite lovely. My sister and I each ordered the set tea, it came with the infamous currant heart shaped scone, finger sandwiches, (egg salad, cucumber, caramelised onion tart, salmon mousse and something tastes like curry), dessert and your choice of tea selection. Mine came with the tomato bisque which was ordinary, it could be a tad bit creamier. The price for my tea set was $48.00. We always enjoyed our visit at The Tea House, but if I were asked what will be the best thing on the list then my answer would be “you must try the currant scone which comes with their crème fraîche and homemade preserves .” We always ordered a few to go!

I loved everything about the winery but the music was sometimes too loud to the point where I could not hear the rest of my party at times.
