Des générations ont appris à compter sur cette trattoria italienne traditionnelle située à seulement deux minutes de marche de Harvey Nichols et Harrods in Knightsbridge. Les clients apprécient toujours la bonne cuisine. D'ailleurs, les chefs n'utilisent que des ingrédients frais. L'ambiance et les visages familiers du personnel italien et sympathique n'ont pas beaucoup changé depuis l'ouverture de Sale e Pepe. Le gérant depuis plus de 35 ans, Toni, connaît tout le monde et tout le monde le connaît. Sale e Pepe est célèbre pour son filet de sole, son foie de veau et ses côtelettes fraîches. L’accueil était globalement chaleureux, mais une partie du personnel s’est montré très froid. Mention spéciale au serveur qui nous a servi le champagne : il ne nous a ni regardés, ni salués, et n’a échangé aucun mot, ce qui a terni l’expérience. Côté nourriture, c’était très satisfaisant dans l’ensemble, hormis la pâtisserie qui était trop gélatineuse à mon goût. Malgré ces points négatifs, nous avons tout de même passé un bon moment.
