Great experience! Food, drinks, service, and DJ were great. We will be returning.

Like many I read the recent Washington Post review and was intrigued. We were going to a play at nearby Studio Theater and this really worked well. Wonderful experience! Loved the decor. The service was outstanding. It just felt very comfortable. Excellent draft beer choices and the food was great. I don’t think you can make a bad choice. Yes, the duck, and the Brussels sprouts. Dessert was great too. Can’t wait to try again.

A luxurious experience with a delicious and innovative menu. As a vegan, my husband especially appreciated the creativity to bring “seafood” to the fore. The caviar plate delighted us with the combination of pickled shallots, capers,fresh herbs and the surprisingly decadent finger lime crème fraiche. Each dish was beautifully composed and well balanced, highlighting very unique ingredients: chiogga beets, Okinawa sweet potatoes, kinome leaf, tamarillos. Wine pairings were perfect. Hope we come back to DC soon so we can experience the changing menu.

Despite a capacity crowd and a waiting line that spilled over onto the sidewalk, the owner and staff’s good humor never faltered in their efforts to accommodate our every wish. The food may have taken a bit longer than usual but we were too busy enjoying our wine and appetizers to notice. When it arrived, our food was perfectly prepared and presented. This was our first time at Mele Bistro in some time; we all agreed not to let it be so long before we return.

Food was good. Salmon was great. Chicken was a bit dry but well seasoned. Desserts were not good except for the chocolate coffee cake. Love the ambiance and good customer service Overall very solid Christmas dinner. a bit overpriced; maybe worth $70-$100
