Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Closter

this was my second time visiting Lucio’s. I am pleased to say my experience was just as nice. My husband and I were greeted and seated immediately. water and bread were immediately brought to the table. Our waiter Carlos, took our drink order and informed us of the specials .  in no time, our drinks were served, and Carlos took our order.  the dining room is very warm with  soft, white walls with black accents, and white linens, white China, and sparkling crystal. my husband and I both opted for soup as an appetizer. I had lobster bisque which was prepared exactly the way it should be. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his French onion soup.  for my entrée, I had a special, Pesto risotto with rock shrimp. It was heavenly, creamy and al dente, with the Perfect balance of basil, garlic. Olive oil, etc. my husband chose chicken franchese. It was lightly battered in a lemon butter sauce with fresh vegetables, also thoroughly enjoyed.. For dessert, we split Keylime pie, which we had on a previous occasion . outstanding. this restaurant will definitely be one of my top picks for 2025 , delicious food, very warm and accommodatimg staff, inviting ambience ... Went on Xmas eve and the food and service was fantastic. We will def be returning again!

Reservations are a must. Crowded at the bar but much more serene in the restaurant proper. Good food reasonably priced. Seasonal menu available. We chose from both. It’s a classic. Enjoy!

We always enjoy Axia. The zucchini chips as a shared starter is first rate. There's one vegan option, which is a good idea as my wife is vegan. Their pastitsio is served en croute. Only issue tonight was restaurant was full (good for the owner) but service was a tad slower than usual.

Tavlin is great. Relatively quiet. Food is always fresh and good. It is my "go to" place in Bergen County for a meat meal.
