Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Gold Coast / Streeterville

Bistronomic - from the warm welcome to our departure - was perfect for our group’s celebration. The authentic, creative and delicious cuisine, professional staff, music, atmosphere and location were great! Menus were filled with interesting offerings. Meals and drinks ordered, even the coffee, were well worth the cost. We’ll return.

I took my wife to the city for a pre Christmas dinner and we hadn't been to Gibson's all year, so of course we had to make one of our favorite spots the place to go. Carl and Lee (as well as the rest of the staff) were amazing and helped to make a special night even more memorable. And of course the food was phenomonal as always! We have wonderful food at many places in Chicago, but Gibson's is special. The staff makes it feel like it's always our first time here and the care they take to ensure our experience is memorable is truly inspiring.

This is our favorite place in the city for many reasons. The drinks, the food, the look and feel of it, but the number one reason we keep coming back is the people who work at RL. It was a wildly busy evening this last time we came in and while many would have folded, the team went out of their way to take care of us. And that’s what sets this place apart. You’re cared for here. We were listened to and made comfortable. It ended up being a wonderful evening all thanks to obviously the food and drink, but mainly each employee we came in contact with. Come for the lush martinis, the perfect dover sole, the rich wood and dim lights but keep coming back for the people.

Had a 6PM reservation and waited 45 minutes for our table. Kept being asked if we wanted a high top near the entrance but we made this reservation a few months in advance and one of the guest was 8 months pregnant so wanted a regular table in the back. Unfortunate experience. Been many times and never experienced this. No apologies for the wait. Bummer!

Everything on the menu is outstanding. I had orechetti which was delightful. A group of five of us use Rosebud on Rush for a committee meeting from time time. The staff is always so accommodating. Rosebud also accommodates use so that our meetings blend with our lunches/dinners.
