Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Key Largo

Best food we’ve had so far in Key Largo! We had the Caesar salad (vegetarian dressing and delicious!), arancini, four cheese pizza, and pepperoni pizza, and everything was delicious! The “personal” pizzas were huge and we could have easily split one between the two of us. Don’t be fooled by the fact that they are only four slices - the slices were very large! Casual but very nice ambiance at night with string lights.

I cannot give enough praise about our experience here! I made an error with our party count. I never updated it to reflect 7 people vs our original 3 people reservation. And they were still able to accommodate us. Even sat us on the beach which was so perfect since there were 3 kids in our party. The service and food were excellent. The grouper was recommended and it did not disappoint. We definitely would recommend dining here!

Food was great the Peking duck was filled with so many flavors and the presentation for everything was exceptional. There’s only one big issue if you have a reservation with them, be ready to wait 20-30 min past your initial reservation time. This place is packed to the brim also, I brought my grandma for Valentine’s Day. I could never do that again due to the amount of debauchery surrounding the waiting area she felt very uncomfortable me personally I don’t care since I’m young but I wanted to make it special for her and it’s very unorganized how they set it up piling a bunch of people in one place for 30 min waiting for a table

We had an amazing time during our first visit to the Rusty Pelican. Valentina was the highlight of our night and made sure to answer every single one of our questions and gave amazing direction to which dishes were best. We went for the Sea bass with smoked plantain mash and the Squid Ink bucatini. Those dishes were breathtaking, the bucatini had a sizable portion of both lobster and shrimp with a delicious red sauce on top of perfectly cooked pasta. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and was like butter with every bite complimenting the bold, fresh, sweet, savory flavor of the plantain mash made me forget to talk during dinner. Desert was tempting with the bread pudding but we didn’t have time. We look forward to experiencing this restaurant again soon!

We made a reservation for Monday night. The dining room was mostly empty, so there were plenty of tables right on the water. It's an amazing experience to sit there and watch the boats go by so close. We had martinis with all those stuffed with blue cheese because that's what she likes. We also had a Kasserie cheese appetizer, which they flambé at the table that was excellent. This is a great place to go with a date
