Fabulous lunch, great guys, so friendly and knowledgeable but efficient too. Got to be the best Sunday Lunch in Cardiff…highly recommend.

Delicious meal (venison beautifully cooked) with friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Want to keep the Marlborough a secret for it has become our go to place.

Despite being exceptionally busy in the weekend before Xmas, we were seated quickly, our waitress was extremely helpful, friendly and prompt with service. The festive menu had good choice although our group of 6 are from the Al l’carte as well. Food was excellent and piping hot, despite the restaurant being rammed. A pleasant buzzy, festive atmosphere.

Visited The Gate this evening with my family for my brother birthday. We all really enjoyed our food, definitely quality and value for money! Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone!

Family of 5 meal out to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely and the restaurant has a very nice look and feel. Have been there for meals before and never been disappointed. The monkfish in particular was delicious and perfectly cooked: my son who rarely gives praise said his burger was the best he had ever tasted and my husband had the lamb which was outstanding. Just some of the highlights. Whilst it isn’t cheap, you really do get what you pay for
