Johnny’s Downtown, opened in 1993, is similar to the original Johnny’s Bar on Fulton Road, featuring pasta, veal and fish. The setting, a refurbished 1860’s Warehouse District building, formerly a general store, is the drinking and dining spot of locals and business people alike. Joseph Fall, the executive chef, oversees the food operations and is responsible for our crafting our signature dishes and creating daily specials. There are several wines by the glass to choose from and the wine list has nabbed an Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator.     Went on New Year’s Day when it was not busy. Our server Moe was OUTSTANDING. He recommended a superb limeade pitcher that was generous and fairly priced - more than enough for our 3 kids and myself to share. The meats were great and plentiful and the salad bar was well stocked. Most of the meats had a lot of char which our family enjoys. Would love to see the kids pricing be just a bit lower or the age range extended for younger kids. Chocolate Mousse cake was delicious. Definitely a place worth going for special occasions!

    Christopher took care of us really well. Despite being arguably one of the best steak stops in Cleveland? We went for the seafood tower. Mac n cheese side and a chicken spring roll app. Food was incredible, everyone was attentive and the ambiance was superb. Honourable mention: the bananas foster desert is table made and done so beautifully. 10/10

    We had a family Christmas Eve celebration in a private room which was perfect for the occasion which included three younger grandsons. The room was perfect and as a bonus included karaoke which we surprisingly used! Such fun! Food was wonderful. We sampled lots of dishes including Peking duck all very good. Josh did a great job with service. Overall a really perfect experience and a reasonable value as well. We will be back in the future!
