I ate here before going to the theater, so I did not want to eat heavily. The restaurant is very convenient to the National Theater on the same block, but only for matinees since they only serve breakfast and lunch. I had the potato leek soup and an upgraded grilled cheese sandwich with bacon, and both were excellent. I only ate half of the sandwich-not that I didn't want to eat the other half, but the sandwich was large, and I knew I would be sitting for a couple of hours. I would definitely eat here again.

Our go to place in DC. Food is always delicious and the service attentive.

I was there for a small business meeting, and it was a perfect casual setting. The food was exquisite, and the menu is very unique. Everyone said, they will be returning again for the food. I had a perfect cooked salmon, and I could not believe the flavor and all salmon eaters know that it can be a problem to get a perfect cooked, moist and seasoned salmon. My guest was impressed with the gumbo, a little spicy but she hate it all. If you have never had a kale salad, please try it there, delicious. A great experience from a hard to please foody. Good and family friendly! Worked well for all of us and food was quick and hot.

Service and flavors were very good. Only issue that we experienced was that we had 3 different entrees that had chicken. Though flavors were great, the chicken in all 3 dishes were very dry.
