Le Gigino Trattoria a ouvert ses portes en août 1994. Les propriétaires, Bob Giraldi et Phil Suarez, ainsi que le chef Luigi Celentano, ont su faire du Gigino une entreprise florissante du quartier en constante évolution de Tribeca. Le chef Celentano crée le menu et la carte des vins, et propose des plats du jour cuisinés à partir de fruits de mer, de gibier et de légumes frais et de saison. Le Gigino est fier de préparer tous ses plats sur commande et de cuisiner sur place la quasi-totalité des pâtes et des pains. Les spéciaux sur les poissons frais sont présentés sur le tableau noir tous les jours. Le restaurant a aussi la meilleure pizza de Tribeca! We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!Our journey started on a quiet West Village street called Carmine. Two brothers, Dave and Pete, made a bold decision. Without any business experience, any real plan, or anything resembling a thought beyond getting through the day, we opened a restaurant. What we had lacked in experience we made up for with spirit and creativity. We did not want to be businessmen. We were artists. Our little shop at 33 Carmine St. was our original canvas. We set out with a simple mission: to create a place where people would want to be. We named it after our dogs, Moose and Goose Lane. Our Nolita location opened four years later in 2011.
