Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Old Town

Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and exciting to try. Surprised my boyfriend for dinner here because he enjoys a hanger steak, which is a hard cut to find. He said it was one of the best he’s ever had, they cooked it to his liking, and it was perfect. Drinks were outstanding, service was excellent, very romantic and sexy atmosphere. There was a table that was extremely loud behind us, luckily they left shortly after we got there though. Other than that, everything was phenomenal! Don was our server, he was also delightful! Will be returning!

YAAY GEJA!!! We loved this cozy little spot! It was so cute and personable & very romantic! Was a little late for our reservation but everything still worked out perfect. They were very understanding and were still able to accommodate us! It was a weekday though so might want to take that into consideration! Such a nice spot might not be as accommodating on the weekend! However it was quite the fondue experience and I would definitely recommend it ! A bit on the pricy side but so worth it!! We will definitely be going again!

I took a friend for her birthday to enjoy Hawksmoor Hacks, a special budget-friendly menu available weekdays from 5-7. She had the rump steak and a salad. I enjoyed the Notorious B.E.E.F. burger. The quality of food was exceed only by the service. Don't even get me started on the dirty martini with blue-cheese stuffed olives. Highly recommend!

Second time here and it only gets better! Great spot for a date night, cocktails before dinner, or after dinner or just a great meal. 12/10 spicy rigatoni- not a pasta girl but absolutely obsessed w this pasta! I ask for extra sauce & extra spicy. If you like pasta or anything spicy, get this dish!! 10/10 Filet sliders & hand cut fries. Amazing service from Jerich and as always had the pleasure of William checking in on us! Highly recommend The Bellevue!!

What a treat to rediscover RL after moving from Chicago a few years ago! On a bitter cold and snowy day, we decided on a last minute late lunch and had a marvelous meal. Our server, Amanda was outstanding, personable and enthusiastically answered my husband's questions about the walleye, which he throughly enjoyed. It was light and flavorful and deemed as good as (though he meant better) than the shore lunches he had while fishing in Canada. I enjoyed the off the menu special crab cake that was sumptuous and delicious to the last bite....better than the ordinary restaurant fare. Though we usually like to read the dessert menu and then pass so we can smugly congratulate ourselves on our willpower, we gave in this day when Amanda told us about the peanut butter cheesecake-like texture presented as a small cake shape and drizzled with chocolate. Boy if there was ever a time to deviate from our cautious approach to desserts, this was it! This was how do they describe it, "smack your mama good?" That was it. So good we talked about it on our way back home to Michigan...the entire visit this time renewed our love for Chicago and the little moments like this that mean so much. A great way to spend some time during a classic urban winter snow storm. Thank you Amanda and the talented RL chef!
