Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Benicia

My family went for the first time. I had no idea what to expect. Wow, what a great surprise. Excellent food, huge range of choices, all of which could be sampled. A little pricey but well worth it. Great restaurant for an experience.

Food & service were great,. but it was loud in the room

My friend and I went to our local Benihana for a girls night and since we were a party of two we were added to another party for the teppanyaki, but it was at a table for a kid’s birthday. The table next to it was also a young family. We didn’t want to take shots and have “girl talk” next to these families since it didn’t feel appropriate, but they had no other open tables to move us to. We ended up eating in the bar area at a booth and that was fun, but not the experience we were hoping for. Overall, a nice night out but our service was slower than we probably would have had with the group and we didn’t get the show we were hoping for. There should be an option in the reservations that prevents a couple or girlfriends from having to sit next to a Kabuki Kid.

Most of the time Kimono has excellent service. However, today they had more customers on the cooking table, so service was slower. Food is delicious as always. I had a very nice chef. Sorry I forgot his name. He did a great job at cooking my Tenppan shrimp. I still love Kimono!

The food is always spot on here with taste and presentation, however for the price it’s a little over kill. One taco shouldn’t cost 12$ in my opinion, and the portion sizes done equate to the cost. The service was ok attentive and honest with the recommendations, however we needed to remind him of the reason we were dinning was for a birthday so there was a little lack luster in enthusiasm. Needless to say I’ll come back, but maybe only for HH or taco Tuesday and only at the bar.
