- HHeatherCincinnati / Dayton •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWent for a date night because we received a gift card. Had already been for their amazing Happy Hour. Just going for dinner was new to us. We made reservations, had a drink at the bar and were seated quickly. The staff was spectacular!!! Food was great! Just to be constructive, if I had to point out anything that could be better….. we would like to have seen more appetizers. Very small shareable menu that would have had us there longer and spend more money. We would probably stick to Happy Hour only because we like to share stuff sometimes. The other thing…. A butter knife with the bread and butter would be awesome. It’s hard to spread butter with a steak knife. Overall, loved it.More infoFirebirds Wood Fired Grill - MasonPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Mason•4.7

- MMichaelNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis is the third Jeff Ruby establishment I've been to in the Cincinnati area, and it was on the same level as my previous experiences at The Precinct and the now-defunct Waterfront. Excellent service from our server Christopher. He was very attentive and his recommendations were perfect. For sides, he said his favorite was the creamed corn, and that was phenomenal. I ordered the boneless ribeye and wanted to do it with chili rub and he recommended it on the side. At first I was confused because I assumed the chili rub was a dry powder rub so I didn't really understand how it would work on the side. But he assured me that the chili rub, while good, you may want to have a break from while eating the steak. So I went with his suggestion and I was glad I did! The rub is more like a paste and it was great for the steak and I was able to apply it as liberally or sparingly as I saw fit. For drinks, I had their "Mingling with Mezcal" and "Pear-Vanilla Old Fashioned." Both were sublime and the Mingling with Mezcal is one of my favorite cocktails I've had in recent years. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Jeff Ruby establishments. I was visiting from New York and Jeff Ruby's steaks are right up there with the best New York steakhouses.More infoCarlo & JohnnyPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Montgomery•4.9
