Best Restaurants for Birthdays in East Elmhurst

Phenomenal experience. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town. Filet mignon, Rib Eye and Colorado lamb were cooked perfectly. Might just be one of the best steaks/lamb chops we’ve ever had. The lamb chops were so flavorful, juicy and tender! Portion size was impressive, too! Ordered two chops and could have easily shared them. Amazing live music was just a bonus to what I believe was the perfect meal. Not to mention the owner came by to say hello. How graceful and thoughtful of him. Loved everything about this restaurant.

Food is 5 star. Service is 5 stars. Everything is appropriate for a 5 star rating … except… one thing…. When I bring a special bottle of wine in for my birthday… don’t charge me $45 for a corking fee! $10 is standard. $25 is upper tier… $45 is stupid. Seriously that’s my only complaint. I go to Christos because it is superb quality. I am fine with paying more for high quality. But $45 for a corking fee… not reasonable.

Love the soups and mussels Provençal. If you love garlic you’ll love the mussels!

Had the octopus, burrata, chicken francese, papardella bolognese, and tiramisu. All excellent with the perfect taste, texture, and generous portions. Wait staff are super friendly, attentive and the place has a family/fun vibe. Excellent!

This is what fine dining is supposed to be. The attention to detail and the level of service created a wonderful atmosphere for dinner. The menu offers a wide variety of choices which makes for tough decisions and our apps and entrees did not disappoint. The deep wine list is well thought out and the Brunello we selected was outstanding. A quick check in by the chef was a good touch followed by an enjoyable desert along with cappuccinos to finish the night. After dinner, we discussed what we would have the next time we visit Il Postino. I can't wait!
