Best Restaurants for Birthdays in San Bruno

The place was beautiful on the outside and inside. The food was very good and our server, Karen, was great. I tried the pistachio calzone, Cristina Pizza, and the Italian sampler and everything was tasty. The only negative is the sampler should have been less pricey.

Reservation at 1930. Did not seat til 2000. What do you expect it's the holidays and everyone is out. From the service to the cook were all professional and funny. Never one time we had to ask to refill our beverages as the waiter was on top of it. Good times!

The food was great but the dim lighting caused me to have a slight vertigo

This French restaurant, at the corner of Primrose and Chapin Aves in Burlingame, is well worth a 5-star rating on all counts. Modern, yet subtle, decor, unobtrusive period music in the background, excellent and varied selections, ample portions, and fantastic service provide a reason to return time and time again. Our party of three enjoyed the rack of lamb, the lobster ravioli, and the cassoulet. Each dish showed the attention and skills of a master chef. In addition to a la carte choices, they offer a prix fixe menu at $65 that provides an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert, with no menu exceptions, for this very sensible price. The restaurant offers a broad selection of wines and beer but does not have a full bar so anyone in need of a cocktail before dinner may feel temporary disappointment. Nonetheless, Chou Chou is fine dining!

I got the omakase and it was amazing, will be coming back with new people to share in the experience!
