Scalini Fedeli was opened by chef-owner Michael Cetrulo in 1995 and very quickly became New Jersey's highest rated Italian restaurant.     Strip steak was excellent, but it should be for the price and the portion size. There is no more complementary bread basket – you need to pay $16 for Parker house rolls dessert which was the apple cobbler was missing the whipped cream.

    We had made a reservation for my wife's birthday. After arriving promptly at 5pm, we were wished Happy Birthday by the young lady who sat us. Our server Haque could not have been more pleasant and helpful. He told us to take our time, relax and enjoy the view. My wife ordered the steak burger, while I got the roast chicken. Not sure which was better, as we sampled each other's dish. Both were delicious! Dessert and our 2 drinks completed a memorable dining experience. Thank you again for such an enjoyable evening. We'll be back.

    The food and service are always OUTSTANDING at The Odeon! Today, I want to call attention to our server's attention to detail, which was spot-on excellent! She must have observed my dining companion opening his birthday card, or overheard us talking....but when dessert arrived, it came with a lit birthday candle and heartfelt congratulations : ) THANK YOU!
