Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Food was excellent and service of high quality. People seated after us were served before we were, which was strange. Perhaps it was because there were 6 of us and only two of them. But it was the same waiter who facilitated that timing. I found that annoying but his efforts on other fronts was very good.

Another perfect evening. For the appetizer, we went with the Arancini. Light and delicious. The salads were great. House made croutons and dressing were delicious. For entrees, we enjoyed the Veal Parmigiana and Chicken Marsala. Each couldn’t have been better. Full of flavor, perfect portion size. I want to highlight the Gnocchi with the cheese sauce I had on the side. This was heavenly…light but bursting with flavor. Wouldn’t change a thing. 10/10!
