Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.
We’re all about vibrant flavours, locally-sourced ingredients and homemade marinades and sauces. Watch our team of creative chefs make fresh flatbreads, from scratch, in our open theatre-style kitchen. We cook all of our breads on a robata grill, giving each kebab that lovely charcoal flavour.We also offer a selection of tasty non-babs, meze dishes and desserts. Our drinks list includes freshly made iced teas and a variety of beers, wines and soft drinks. We have recently expanded and now offer an amazing choice of cocktails, from savoury to sweet and everything in between.So, come hungry, pull up a chair and enjoy a kebab worth sitting down for.At peak times tables will have a maximum sitting time for 1hr 30mins from the start of the booking time. The host inform you on arrival. Unfortunately, we are unable to serve Coeliacs due to the risk of cross contamination.
Our menu features brunch dishes, classic dishes and homely favourites. We’re all about good food and good value, so we don’t hold back on trimmings and sides. Available until 20:30pm.
