- EErinGreater Boston •9 reviews4.0Dined todayThe food and decor at The Crown is always fantastic. The noise level is an issue though. The tables are very close together, especially for parties of 2. The chairs are not very comfortable and the tables are too small in my opinion. I am a rather petite person and I feel this way, my date was much taller and also felt this way. It would be nice to have a place to hang coats since mine was on the back of my chair and touching the floor. Our waiter hyper active and seemed to have trouble modulating the volume of his voice (he was basically shouting at us). He also talked so much that my partner and I zoned out when he was talking about the specials etc. He came over constantly and it felt like he was trying to rush us out. It wasn't until I realized that they close at 8pm that I realized why. They accepted our 7pm reservation - and the place was pretty full when we arrived. The hostess was polite and prompt. The bar seems like it would be quieter and more comfortable, we will probably sit there next time. The food was outstanding. The drinks were perfect and the desserts were wonderful as well. We will be back.More infoThe Crown TavernPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Manchester•4.8
- TTimothyGreater Boston •15 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoExcellent anniversary meal for the second year in a row. The cocktails are amazing. The duck pie with quince was delicious, as was the parsnip soup, and crispy skin chicken. The chocolate pudding is one of the best desserts ever. There was a kitchen mishap on the scotch egg, but the staff handled it graciously. Wonderful place for a special occasion.More infoThe Puddle DockPrice: Expensive• American• Portsmouth•4.8
- PPatrickVIPGreater Boston •13 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFood and drinks were very good, but our server did not seem to like having us. Everyone else who came to our table was very friendly and warm but our server appeared to be annoyed the entire time to have our table.More infoRow 34 - PortsmouthPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Portsmouth•4.7
- DdanaNew Orleans / Louisiana •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLoved it! The food was great. The vibe is fun and casual. It is loud, so if you are looking for a quiet conversational dinner this is not the place. Live music starts nightly at 9pm.More infoHunter'sPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Southern)• South Boston•4.6
- CChiaraTampa / Central Florida West •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoThe food was excellent, everything we ordered was very good. If you want a cocktail off the menu they are good, otherwise stick to water. We went for brunch, ordered coffee which they had. Coffee is below average. We didn’t mind since the food was m very very good.More infoButtermilk & BourbonPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Southern)• Back Bay•4.6
