It’s our vision of Northern California as if it is a region in Italy, our connection to the region, and our love for Italian culinary practices. The rustic, market-driven menu features handmade pasta, pizzas, antipasti, housemade salumi, meat, and fish plus dishes from the Jewish-Roman heritage known as “Cucina Ebraica.” The beverage program focuses heavily on both Italian and Californian wines with a cocktail program that utilizes a variety of spirits, amaros, and seasonal ingredients. We serve food that, more often than not, accesses that part of our deepest soul where genuine expression can flow forth. We have always tried to give our food and service our best selves, as honest and vulnerable as we can muster. We strive to be a place where you might actually have a real connection; maybe with your server, maybe with your food or maybe with your possibly gracious host who is ACTUALLY glad you’re there. Oh, you wanted a restaurant description? Sorry. Can’t really help you there. We’re not so big on labels. Our food is hard to nail down as we are constantly evolving and entirely seasonal and personal. We’ve used “Food you eat” as a tag line on occasion and that remains accurate. We could also describe it as “Food we really want you to eat”. When you’re here, tell us what you would call it.

Brunch was delicious! Two thumbs up on the wagyu and eggs, Chinese chicken salad, grilled branzino. Highly, highly recommend the banana split for dessert. Ambience is elegant, yet casual. Jordan was our server and since it was our first time visiting, we asked for recommendations. We appreciated he had definitive selections for each section of the menu, and was honest about what he’s tried and what he hasn’t! And if there was something that didn’t quite appeal to our tastes, he was able to quickly suggest something new. We will definitely make a return visit!

The food was DELICIOUS!!!! Every dish that we ordered was outstanding. Went there for a friend’s birthday dinner, it was 5 of us. We ordered the focaccia which was divine, also the suppli which my gosh was out of this world. Then we got 3 different pastas: caramelle which had a tangy citrus oily sauce and the pasta filled with veggies just melted in your mouth. The gnocchi with truffle and Parmesan and I can say it was probably the BEST gnocchi I’ve had in a long time plus they were super generous with the truffle so HIGHLY recommend this dish. And lastly we got the Bigoli Nero which was exquisite and probably my favorite dish, and the Dungeness crab meat tasted super fresh. We also got the chicory pizza which was probably my least favorite dish as it didn’t wow me. It was tasty but nothing special about it. And for dessert we got the Tiramisu which didn’t disappoint. It was fresh, tasty, moist and the flavors well balanced. The service was A+ from the host which accommodated us to a table of 5 even when my resy was for 4 so that was amazing! To the servers who were super friendly and attentive, to the sommelier.

It was excellent. Food was delicious, service was thoughtful and frequent. There was a bit of a pause between starters and the mains but otherwise a delightful experience.

First of all…we absolutely love Firefly. We try to make it a family dinner about every 2-3 weeks. We have a celiac patient in the family so a restaurant that not only caters to that but also has phenomenal food and service is the best. Firefly delivers on that! Sammy, our favorite server whose area we try to be seated in every time) is better than we can ask for. We will certainly be returning over and over.
