We came to Proxi for a chef pop-up but having dined here a few times previously I knew the meal would be fantastic. In addition to the pop-up we ordered two vegetable dishes from the Proxi menu. The tempura elotes is an absolute must and for a refreshing and flavorful dish, the fennel apple chaat is your dish. We sat at the chef’s counter which I highly recommend for a chance to watch the action.

Avec is the best of the best Chicago restaurants! We had an endive salad to start, the chicken shawarma with hummus, and champagne. It was a perfect meal for a very special celebration! The food, atmosphere and service were superlative, and the amazing team made our celebration such a memorable and wonderful experience! Thank you so much, avec!!!

Paired with a side of asparagus, mashed potatoes, and a glass of full-bodied red wine, it was a meal that left us savoring every bite. Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of.
