- SSarahJacksonville / Northeast Florida •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was our 2nd visit. We are there 11 years ago on our honeymoon when visiting DC so we were really happy the quality, experience was just as great as we remembered it. The dining room is nice not too big, but lively. The staff are excellent, so friendly and happy to explain the menu. The food is great, full of flavor. We had the Sambosa appetizer which was perfect for sharing. I had the Lamb Tibs and my husband had the combo of chicken and beef. The staff are gracious to check your wishes and confirm you’re happy to have them plated together. It was a great experience overall.More infoDas Ethiopian - GeorgetownPrice: Expensive• Ethiopian• Georgetown•4.8
- JJonathanVIPWashington, D.C. Area •16 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIn the best possible way, La Chaumiere is a gastronomic and cultural time machine. Guarding its traditions, and outstanding classic recipes, the charming atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food all make this restaurant a favorite. Experiment with nouvelle cuisine elsewhere: La Chaumiere delivers on point, from delightful soufflés to game and beef specialties. Especially nice in wintertime with the fireplace aglow.More infoLa ChaumierePrice: Expensive• French• Georgetown•4.8
- MMichellePhiladelphia County •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe got the Jaleo experience tasting menu. It was excellent, and more food than we were expecting. Definitely worth the price! It was somewhat loud and we had trouble hearing the wait staff at times, but otherwise we would definitely do this again!More infoJaleo - DCPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7
- RRobWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe went to Jont two years ago and it was spectacular then and I wasn’t sure how they could improve. However, this visit was off the charts and I’m not sure why they don’t have three Michelin stars yet. We have been to 30 Michelin stars worth of restaurants globally so we have a pretty good perspective. Chef Ryan was in the kitchen (which you essentially sit at a bar adjacent to) the whole time and he came over and spent some time with us which was very cool. The staff is funny, friendly and well informed. I got the special Waygu Zabuton in lieu of chicken and it was probably the best steaks I’ve ever had. Sometimes these type restaurants get a little too eclectic with one or two dishes, and that wasn’t the case here. Every dish wowed our family. In fact, my wife ate Uni for the first time (having passed on it before) and loved it. We feel fortunate to have this spot in DC and can’t wait to go back.More infoJôntPrice: Very Expensive• French / Japanese• U Street Corridor•4.9
- SScottWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoWent for the Christmas Day Brunch and Dinner buffett as something different for achristmas this year. The food was great. Only complaint was that they needed to have larger plates of some of the featured meats so they didn't empty so quickly. They also had items from the kitchen that were walked around and offered by staff frequently. The wait staff and management team were incredibly attentive and friendly. The noise level was very loud, but that should be expected when a place is that busy, especially with a lot of families or groups of friends sitting around several tables. Overall, a great choice as a deviation from a normal Christmas breakfast.More infoFounding Farmers Fishers & Bakers DC: GeorgetownPrice: Moderate• American• Georgetown•4.4
