The Yellow House Bar and Kitchen in south London’s Surrey Quays near the shopping centre is a big, warm hug of a local bar and restaurant. Wow! Amazing location, love the decor and ambience. Service is impeccable. Gorgeous cocktails and tasty fresh, inventive food. Only feedback is that the portion sizes are tiny for the prices and cocktails are £16 and £17 so it is expensive. Other than we loved it and it’s dog friendly too.

Start to our Christmas celebrations, four best friends together we had fun, laughter and joy being together! This place is absolutely amazing and the icing on the cake as they say was the saxophone player, such beautiful music, the dancer was so talented and lastly the drum player he was so good and made sure her walked round near all the diners and was so friendly:) All your staff are very professional, friendly and helpful! Thank you we will be back in the new year.

Outstanding food, service, ambiance. Classic British food, nose to tail, simply but exquisitely prepared. We started with olives and roasted bone marrow, a favourite we order whenever possible, and this was the best we’ve ever had. Accompanying parsley salad was flavourful crunchy and fresh, perfect accompaniment along sourdough toast. For mains we shared grey mullet, grilled shorthorn, white asparagus, green salad and a sublime braised mutton. Everything was superb and we were quite full but couldn’t resist dessert. Both the lemon posset and date loaf with butterscotch sauce were incredible and we ate every last bit. Service was low key excellent and very helpful as we ordered wine by the glass having over imbibed over the weekend and server recommendations were perfect.

We went for Sunday roast. We chose the chicken and pork roasts as the lamb had ran out. Portions were very generous and really tasty. We also shared the lamb sausages as a starter which was lovely. Finished off the meal with the grilled banana bread.
