In showing this building some love, local businesswoman Shoes Simes has said that she hopes to help make her pub more food-led and family-friendly. In doing so she hopes to turn this local building of historical importance into an establishment for local families and friends to enjoy together. It all started 13 years ago when she first saw the building and she knew straight away that this was the pub for her and finally her dreams have come true, with a full refurbishment, this pub is now ready to be revealed to Eastbourne in all its glory. Once functioning as an old Moot Court, eventually turning into a restaurant in the 1970s, before it boomed as a pub trading as The Rainbow. It eventually changed to The Counting House and saw a new lease of life as the garden grew to be a popular haunt of all in old town. Returning with a change of name to the older style of The Rainbow, and with it a focus on food again. For outdoor reservations, please contact the restaurant directly.

The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery.     Our Sunday Family Feast was excellent value for money and truly delicious! Despite skipping breakfast, the four of us couldn't manage to finish the very generous quantity of meat... highly recommended and the perfect meal to celebrate a family birthday together.

    Quick service. Food was on point ☺️ the only gripe we had was the waitress forgot my partners drink but apologised once she realised. Singer was amazing. Loved the decorations. Great night. Would come again.

    The restaurant was the most busy I've ever seen it at a lunchtime on a Saturday and the staff were having to rush about. My friend and I were waiting for starters, mains AND desserts (that was nearly 30 mins) but the server was lovely and very apologetic and we got some money off the food. The meals were delicious, the only complaint was the silly bowl my salad was served in was just the right width, depth and slope to have my knife repeatedly slide down into the dressing! Anyway, I've signed up for future offers and free birthday Prosecco and I'll be back before then.
