Le thé représente l'une des traditions du Drake Hotel. Le Palm Court sert le thé depuis les fêtes de fin d'année de 1982 et a reçu des personnalités telles que la défunte Princesse Diana et Hilary Clinton. En 1958, la reine Élizabeth a également pris le thé au Drake.
La beauté unique de la salle s'organise autour d'une magnifique fontaine en pierre calcaire, ornée d'une énorme urne de 275 ans en son centre, un bronze français de David Williams.
