Best Restaurants for Groups in Spartanburg

I took my sister to Rick Erwin's for her birthday dinner and we loved it! The ambiance inside the restaurant is lovely and tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the city from the outside balcony. We sat in a booth that was extremely comfortable, private and perfect for conversation. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of menu items and made descriptive suggestions. The food was exceptional. We are very pleased. We will definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DO NOT SLEEP ON OAK 1831! From start to finish, Oak 1831 Kitchen & Bar absolutely delivered! The food was next-level incredible, the presentation was stunning, and the flavors? Unreal. I had the Steak & Pommes Frites, and it was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and paired with crispy, delicious fries. My husband went for the BBQ Rib Plate, and let me tell you, those ribs were fall-off-the-bone smoky, juicy, and packed with flavor. The boys ordered the Beetroot Salmon and the Southern Ribeye (a massive 18 oz. cut), and both dishes were spot on—expertly prepared and bursting with taste. Beyond the food, the service was A+. Our server, Joseph, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. And hats off to Chef Erica for crafting such an outstanding menu and executing it to perfection. Another huge plus? Plenty of parking, so no hassle getting in and enjoying a top-notch meal. If you do anything, please do not sleep on Oak 1831! Great service with a waitress that always came to check on us multiple times throughout our meal without being overbearing or cutting into conversation. Food was very warm when served and seemed fresh. For the price I’ve had better chicken and better ribeye at other places but overall atmosphere and the wide selection of drinks and whiskeys makes up for it. Overall nice place and would eat there again but only on some sort of special occasion.

Service was great but the call ahead seating didn’t feel like it gave us any advantage. Still had to wait 40 min to be seated. Have not experienced that anywhere else we’ve done call ahead. That said. The food and service were great. Enjoyable evening.
