At Landscape Restaurant & Grill, right in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct, we create an unforgettable dining experience. The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Nathaniel Embrey, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover. Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse. This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. Boasting a killer menu and a super cool vibe, this place is known for a cocktail, feast or an intimate date night.

We had an early table at 5:45 upstairs. It’s a great room and we were sitting in the area between the kitchen and the bar which was quite narrow, but the staff were very attentive and watching always for anyone moving in that narrow section the restaurant had an amazing turnover of people. Which I would think was a testament to the good service and the good food lots of families having, a quick meal plus others who were grazing and enjoying the atmosphere. The fit out is really really wonderful. Everything was tiptop from the time we walked into the restaurant to the time we left. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was exemplary. we had oysters, fish and steak. The steak could’ve melted in my mouth like it was covered in butter, the oysters were incredible. The cheese platter was incredible. You know I have to say for a local restaurant. It’s a nine out of 10. We will be back at least 100 times thanks for looking after us Grazie.

We were seated at a table for 2 by the window. The staff were very friendly & polite. The food was delicious. My husband had the burger & I had the porterhouse. Both meals were delicious. We then shared the brownie which was YUM!!!!!!!! We will certainly be going back again sometime to celebrate another special occasion.

Food excellent and service attentive but not obtrusive. Servings huge so takeaway containers needed for done of our food. It wasn’t a busy early weeknight but ambience a little lacking and toilets although clean looking dated and a few finishing touches not completed. Overall a good meal.
