Best Restaurants for People Watching in Miami Springs

We come whenever we’re in town. The food is amazing but the service was a little less than usual tonight and they weren’t busy

Beautiful decor, ambiance, food, and drinks. Great for photo ops. The service was OK. They did accommodate us for a birthday dinner. The waiter was pretentious and seemed to have had had a bit of an attitude, but overall everything was great. Food was great; could’ve used a bit more spice to all meals. Drinks were well made, and the experience was amazing! Menu items we had: Peking duck x2 and Chicken Makhani (no spice). Drinks: FLOR DE FUEGO (Mezcal) very smoky but enjoyable. 8/10 Prosecco (Sparkling Wine) 10/10 FIG OLD FASHIONED (bourbon) Very cinnamon forward. 2/10 Birthday dessert : SALTED CARAMEL OPERA 10/10 would come back just for this!!

It was wonderful, the waiter was the best, he was so friendly and polite even the restaurant was already closed. He patiently waited and served us with full smile and joy! The food was exquisite!

Kao is an underrated spot in Coral Gables. Many restaurants pop up and last a year or 2. Kao has persevered without sacrificing quality and service. My husband and I had not been in since Covid. We were in the Gables and decided to revisit the place and it did not disappoint. We like many things about Kao: the diverse menu options, all of which were delicious, excellent service from our thoughtful server Helen, excellent cocktails, ambiance is fun and creative and they turn into a club on the weekend. My husband and I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank which was super tender and flavorful after being stewed over 5 hours. The mixed vegetables were delicious as well. Our friends had the grilled octopus which was tender and delicious and the Flap Steak which was tender and tasty. We started with a sausage appetizer and the sausage was spicy and tasty. We also each had an empanada of a different flavor. They were crispy and tasty. For dessert, we shared the brownie sunday and the choc chip cookie sunday which were both delicious. We recommend Kao highly and hope you will give it a try. Debbie & Darin S

Melanie was a great waitress and looked after us very well. Happy hour was very happy with genuinely cheap drinks and eats and vibes from current music playing. Cool atmosphere to go to start your evening.
