Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Carnegie Hill

Overall everything was great. Some of the best Italian food we’ve ever had. I will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed the Alderman. The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The NY vibe/ambiance definitely contributed to the experience. My one gripe is their policy toward the price fix menu. Everyone in the party must order it or no one can order it. That annoyed me because it is clearly a way to force diners to order more. My friend wanted the price fix and I wanted a la carte simply because the main course I wanted was not available on the PF menu. We were told no and therefore, had to order the bread and salad a la carte when those items were part of the PF menu. Aside from that, I would return in the future but it won't be my first choice.

Food was excellent. Service was great.... waitpeople were very attentive. Overall A+

Always a good experience for lunch here. It’s a go to spot when entertaining for business. A hidden gem with excellent service and a thoughtful, delicious menu. You can’t go wrong with the steak frits.

It was fantastic! All staff were super friendly and courteous. Chicken pot pie was delicious and chocolate toffee cake as well.
