This stunning 14th century pub in the unspoilt village of Kinnerley offers beautifully prepared seasonal fare alongside delicious pub classics. Offering real ales from local breweries and a interesting winelist. If the sun is shining dine or enjoy a drink in the beer garden with its village green charm.Warwick Kidd started his career as a part time pot washer at Ludlow's Michelin starred La Becasse under Head Chef Will Holland. His natural ability meant it wasn't long before he was starting to cook and his career soon blossomed. He moved away from Ludlow to gather experience which took him to France, where he cooked for 2 Michelin starred Jean-Luc Rabanel.Zach Hermon's career started at the age of 15. He has worked at some of the country's most prestigious restaurants including Raymond Blanc's 2 Michelin starred 'Le Manoir aux quat saisons' and more recently 2 Michelin starred 'Moor Hall' in Lancashire - Winner of first place at The Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards.

    Great good and atmosphere. One small gripe,i love dogs, have 3 of our own,and dog friendly pubs I just don't want dogs around when I am eating.

    The Sweeney is always a lovely place to visit. Apart from the excellent food and service, it's a stunning building surrounded by beautiful gardens in the stunning countryside. It's always a pleasure to visit, and we're already looking forward to coming back.

    Never had a bad meal here! Food is gorgeous and changes with the seasons so there is always something different to try. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate any dietary requirements. Great value for money as all freshly prepared. Highly recommend.
