Welcome to Rajkot Indian Tapas Restaurant & Bar where our journey began in 2005, where our family’s passion for authentic, hearty Indian cuisine introduced something unique to the local dining scene. Nearly two decades later, we are thrilled to reopen at a new, larger, and more modern location, continuing our commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit and hustle of Rajkot in Gujarat, we strive to create a dining experience that is unique, authentic, and full of passion. Our menu blends traditional dishes with tapas and street food, capturing the essence of this vibrant city. Our chef, with us from the beginning, is back to serve the dishes that made Rajkot a favourite: the daring Nuclear Wings Challenge, our Rajkot Machi, and the popular Rajkot Lollipops.

The Embankment has become one of the premier spots in the heart of Bedford. The clue to our location is in the name! Bedford’s beautifully-landscaped Embankment has wonderful views out over the River Great Ouse. The Embankment Hotel was built in 1891 and we renovated it to reflect its late-Victorian heyday, but with all the modern comforts and facilities of a great pub. The atmosphere is relaxed and hospitable. There is no stuffy hotel lobby or residents’ lounge, just a team of friendly faces to look after you.

The Gravel Pit Brasserie & Bar is situated in The Waterfront Hotel with mouthwatering views over the east lake to accompany our fantastic menu. This site was once a large marsh, fed by the River Great Ouse, but in the 1950s gravel extraction created a series of small lakes and pools which survives today. The gravel was mainly used in road and industrial construction, but today the old gravel pits are home to an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna; a magical place for all of us to enjoy. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week, from 7am - 11pm, with last food orders at 9pm.
