Champneys Tring is a popular afternoon tea spot in Tring, Buckinghamshire. The restaurant offers a delightful afternoon tea experience, complete with a selection of traditional finger sandwiches, an array of sweets, and a glass of fizz. As one reviewer put it, 'it was novel to have afternoon tea on the lawn and it was beautiful surroundings'. However, some guests noted that the cream provided was not clotted cream, as expected, and some also found the use of plastic cutlery a bit of a letdown.

I had the pleasure of experiencing afternoon tea recently, and it was truly delightful. The food was amazing, with an impressive selection of sandwiches, scones, and pastries that were as visually appealing as they were delicious. The ambience was lovely, offering a relaxing and elegant setting perfect for such an indulgent experience. A live pianist played softly in the background, adding a sophisticated and calming touch that enhanced the atmosphere without overwhelming it. The service was incredible, attentive without being intrusive, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt special. Overall, it was a memorable afternoon filled with wonderful food and great service! The whole experience was really enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Wonderful birthday brunch on Sunday. Lots of families, friends and dogs in this warm, ambient atmosphere. Food was great! Pancake stack with apples and yogurt and full breakfast enjoyed by our party. Our well behaved dog was made to feel welcome with a couple of treats. We'll be back!

I love this restaurant, my favourite in Oxford. In the summer the garden is a true delight and in the winter the ambience inside is perfect for a cozy special treat dinner in beautiful surroundings. There is much interesting art work, the menu delicious and the wines excellently chosen. The 500 cc carafe option also perfect if one of you is driving. Every time I go with great expectations and have never been disappointed in any way. This is a restaurant to be highly commended.
