Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Torrey Pines

We came here for our anniversary. We were immediately greeted at the door with roses and champagne, that was already such a great experience. Once we checked in with our hosts, about 5 minutes later we were escorted to our table and we had the best view of the ocean. The table had fresh rose petals all over it, followed by a hand written “happy anniversary” card from Eddie V’s. Once our waitress came by, she came by with 2 more glasses of champagne on the house. We ordered a bottle of Daou reserve, the 22 OZ rib eye streak, mashed potatoes, truffled mac and cheese and asparagus. The night was absolutely beautiful. Our experience was amazing!!! Thank you to Eddie V’s for make our anniversary PERFECT! 10/10 across the boards!!! Selena was the best waitress ever! Shoutout to the WHOLE staff that night!

The food was top notch. This was my first time eating here and it was a great experience. The environment was cozy and warm with a great view. The staff were amazing and the food was perfect. Thank you to the staff for an amazing evening.

Great experience. Food and service were top level. So much better than the Tea at the Del Coronado. The servers took such great care of us. Came by the table and offered to refill our tea pots numerous times. Food was very good and freshly prepared. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommend.

I love this hotel ! The decor is absolutely beautiful at the Fairmont Grande! The Amaya is in the hotel. We were there on a Friday night. I couldn't believe how uncrowded it was. If you like quiet, uncrowded elegance and delicious food this is a go-to. The Amaya is a beautiful restaurant. My only critique is that the lighting could have been just a little dimmer to enhance the romantic feel of the restaurant. Otherwise I love everything about this hotel. Even the decor in the restroom is a work of art.

The setup was great- not all tables filled at different times allowed for a more relaxed environment. There was no rush to have us depart after finishing our meal. Food was terrific, and service was very friendly and attentive. The $260 per plate makes this a one time event but worth it on that basis.
