Delicious food, wonderful eclectic setting visually and great service. Thanks for the Tiramisu birthday desserts without us even having to ask!

Exceptional combination of fantastic food, service, and ambiance. A unique venue and being surrounded by a Julia Morgan designed building is a huge part of the experience. If you want a quiet place to enjoy a meal without restless noisy kids this is it.

Skates lived up to its reputation of being an excellent place to dine in all respects. Such a varied menu. with so many vegetarian and seafood choices. Our server was very sweet and attentive but when things got busy she seemed to get overwhelmed. Somehow dinner and dessert and coffee were all on the table at once with ice cream melting and coffee getting cold. Then she didn't know what to do. There was perhaps a language problem. But her sweet disposition made up for it. Beautiful. view and sunset! A lovely evening. thank You.

This was our 2nd time here and both times the food was outstanding. We now know we must order whatever the baked pasta special is because it was everyone's favorite dish. Other fave is cacio e pepe-this time they brought out the cheese wheel and made it in front of us-extra plus plus!!! Cocktails are amazing. Service is friendly and competent. We live a little over an hour away but we're willing to make the drive again and again.

A wonderful, small place with exquisite food and superb service. Recent meal: Frittura Mista ; perfectly prepared, nicely seasoned and generous portiion Bucarini 'Chi Finucchiede: A classic sardine dish from Sicily, heavenly Norma: Great choice for our veggie Risotto Allo Scoglio: large portion, tender and flavorful Salmone Alla Griglia: Our salmon lover, who's had it world wide, including recently in Ireland says" I've never had better"! Servers were warm, pleasant and efficient. A must visit - will return again and again.
