Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Short Hills

The ambience sets the tone, when you walk thru the doors and are warmed by the gorgeous fire. The service and food were excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and it was extra special! Thanks!

Unfortunately our food came out cold 2x (after sending it back to the kitchen). Was forced to then order something we didn’t necessarily want but needed to have something for dinner. The manager was nice and took the entrées off the bill, but would expect a higher level of service at a restaurant like this.

This little gem is perfect before a show at the Paper Mill, but also for anytime really. Food was great, and while the servers worked hard, their timing could be a little better. Main course being served before appetizers were cleared, etc. other than that little hiccup, the service is great. Overall, it was a great experience.

Beautiful historic restaurant ! We loved the fireplaces and dining room areas. There was also a great bar area with tables and a fireplace. Dinner was fresh and tasty. Service was prompt and good. We would dine here again if in the area.
