Great service , much improved since last visit. Good food, music just a little to loud.

The lift was fun. We were seated in a big sofa facing the window with an incredible view of the Cathedral and the rooftops of Canterbury. The waitress asked if we wanted the children's menu, but we said "no thank you" and we ordered our food and drinks from the brunch menu. Abby's burger was so big she could hardly hold it let alone eat it, but she managed it. Hazel and Poppy's fish and chips were so big it probably broke EU fishing quota regulations. We all loved the food , the staff were brilliant and all agreed that the assistant manager was the best looking in Canterbury. We all want to come again. This historic pub set in the rolling hills between Ashford and Hythe is a delight. While the menu is very similar pubs in the same Pickled Egg Group the ambience and quality of staff puts it head and shoulders above the rest. While the menu is unadventurous it does deliver good food at reasonable value. Deserves its reputation as one of the best pubs in Kent

We had such a lovely afternoon tea at the Falstaff to venerate a birthday. We were given a glass of bubbly on the house for the celebration which was kind. The food was great, adapted for one gluten free . The waitress Sarah was so lovely and attentive, even though she covering everything on her own. She wowed us and we had a lovely experience.
