- CCarterLiverpool/Merseyside •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoNever felt so compelled to leave a positive review. Wow. Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance was pure perfection. The live music courtesy from Victoria Sharpe was brilliant as well. I did appreciate however that it didn’t start until about half way through our date so we could focus more on the food, drinks, and conversation. So only advice would be find out when the live music begins and arrange so you get there before. Still don’t miss it though because it really adds to the experience. Can’t wait it come back!More infoPuffin' Rooms - LiverpoolPrice: Expensive• British• Liverpool•4.4

- HHayleyManchester/Greater Manchester •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024We are a family of four, including two boisterous children. The gentleman who served us absolutely “got the memo” that I needed to discreetly pick the most suitable table to ensure we didn’t disrupt other diners. He was excellent and understanding the boys’ need to be away from other customers and brought us kids menus. The menus seem “slim pickings” but we felt like we had a good selection for our picky kids and us being pescatarian. The cocktail menu was great and we enjoy a few of those. The kids had good sized portions or burger and chicken “nugget” and thick cut chips. We had a selection of veggie sharing plates. All of the food was so incredibly tasty and we felt really full despite the portion sizes looking quite small on arrival. We’d definitely like to return to have more of the menu. We’d just have appreciated a faster service because the kids were getting restless waiting for their puddings. Other than that, this is a very easy place to recommend to others!More infoThe Restaurant at The RefugePrice: Moderate• Global, International• Manchester•4.2
- DDeniseLancashire •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 17, 2024An excellent dining experience ! We have a Christmas dinner here every year, and it's so consistent. There are a few choices on the menu but we always opt for the traditional Christmas fayre - Prawn cocktail was served in a lovely sauce with crunchy bits, delicious, followed by an unusual Turkey Balloutine, really tasty with all the trimmings, nice cranberry sauce too ! Finished off with Christmas pud, sauce & ice cream , very yummy ! With our glass of white wine followed by a bottle of red, it was the perfect meal. Portions were just the right size, well cooked and presented with style. A lovely atmosphere and ambience, beautiful decorations, everyone happily chatting around you and enjoying themselves. Much credit to the staff who served us - smiling, chatty but still in their professional mode, nothing rushed, the right timings between courses, service was impeccable, in fact - Everything was PERFECT !!
