We were booked in for 7:30pm and expected to be there for a couple of hours or so. From the moment we entered the premises we felt we were special. The staff were polite and attentive, the venue was welcoming and nicely laid out and the pianist was fun and accommodating regarding requests. We had the set Valentine's menu, none of which disappointed, delivering a variety of choices within it's framework. We had a great evening, eventually leaving at closing time. We sat in one of the front rooms, pleasant but now rather shabby. Our Sunday roast was good though a bit overcooked for medium rare. Treacle tart delicious.
