Always a good experience at Ruggles black since their renovations. Sometimes it’s a bit noisy in the general seating area at high peak times. The food is exquisite. The price is expensive for lunch. I noticed they cut down on the amount of tacos for your value lunch meal. It used to be three for less expensive now it’s only two. This economy must be hurting other diners because the restaurant is usually overcrowded at noon. We left at 1 PM and still only two other couples in there. Great place for date night or an afternoon coffee and dessert.

Visited the restaurant for a business lunch with a prospective younger client. Menu was attractive to both of us. Food was delicious. Service was exceptional - the server allowed us plenty of time to discuss business.

Our first experience here was not bad at all. The host was very friendly and inviting as was our server. We ordered a few drinks, partner loved the wine, however, my mocktail tasted very watered down (they always seem to be hit and miss regardless of the spot). We got the meatballs for an app, they were great. I admittedly got a little too adventurous for the entree and went for the shrimp gnocchi (not a huge fan of either, but when in Rome…), which I was not a fan of. Partner ordered the carbonara, which was much better by comparison. As far as dessert, the lemon de terre (I believe it’s called) was the most fantastic thing I had. I would go here 10 times over for that specifically. The tiramisu was also great. In all, I’d recommend it for the experience and overall ambiance. We’ll definitely be back to try out some other dishes.

Tina, our server, set the bar very high for others in terms of her professional and personal interactions with us. She gave us an excellent experience and made our evening very special. Overall, we enjoyed our visit with the restaurant.
