Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Reading

Had chefs tasting menu at chefs counter. The food was creative, all courses interesting and delicious. The chef was great with his disquisitions on the dishes. Overall a superior dining experience; yet without pretense.

This was our first time dining here. 4 of us met for brunch. The service was excellent as was the food. Varied menu let those who are weight conscious have healthy options . I had eggs Benedict with avacado. Other diners had french toast. Order of truffle fries for table. Everything was delicious. We want to try dinner next. We think we found a new favorite.

My friends and I love to explore all that the NE food scene has to offer and Urban Hearth is no different. The intimacy of the restaurant lends itself well to a great date night spot or a wonderful place for friends to catch up. The food: genuinely outstanding both in terms of flavor, presentation and in composition. The service: Sam was a delight to speak to and ask about recommendations - the feta gnudi (don’t pass it up, the broth is delicious) the beef short rib (as luxurious as you could hope). In short - don’t pass up going to Urban Hearth for a foodie’s dream.

Had a very nice dinner with terrific service. Well paced meal, not rushed. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The food was very good, the chef has a nice selection. We highly recommend Tryst.

We had a great time Bistro5 on Valentine’s Day. As expected they were packed so and everyone was working hard, great vibes. Service was friendly and courteous. We went for the special tasting menu with wine pairings. There were two choices for each course so we had one of each and everything was excellent. This is one of few places I’ve been that I would be comfortable putting myself in the chef’s hands.
