It did not disappoint. The service was superb, the waiter quickly realised my son has special needs and reacted accordingly, without judgement or prejudice, which was a refreshing change from other London venues we have been to. Let's start with the welcome - front of house staff dressed in uniform cream, each with their own defined and welcoming personality; no pressure to go for the tasting menu, but when you're told that it 'just keeps coming,' it's hard to resist. An informed sommelier tells you that the wine list changes each week and are responsibly sourced - this adds to the mix. And then the dishes do indeed keep coming - and what dishes they are. Victor Garvey is in many ways a summation of all the great restaurants in which he's worked - French Laundry, El Bulli etc..
